Our tactical bullet and stab proof vests use the same protective panels as found in all other vests we sell. The difference is in the cover. Tactical body armor covers are similiar to overt covers, but they offer more utilites, and are generally more expensive. For instance alot of our tactical vests are flame-retardent, and have multiple docking clips for torhces batons etc. They also may contain a reflective strip and utilise expensive materials to construct the cover.

You will know if you need a tactical bullet proof vest and is generally a more specific vest, if you are unsure if you need one or not, you more than likely will be fine using a simpler cover option. Prices for tactical body armor are higher as they can and usually are fire proof and water resistant. They achieve that by usng such renowned materials as Gore-Tex and nomex.
