They all contain protective panel inserts made from DuPont™ Kevlar®.

Our bullet proof vests are manufactured by an accredited  NIJ (National Institute of Justice) manufacturer. This means all the products on this page have been certified to the NIJ standard. All of our bullet proof vests are suitable for law enforcement officers and security workers.

All our kevlar vests and bullet proof vests comply to the NIJ (National Insitute of Justice) standard for the stated level. Each panel will come with a protection certificate certifying the panels protection level. We only sell vests that use DuPont Kevlar® protective panels in our stab vests and our bullet proof vests because Kevlar is the only protective material that has passed the standard of time.

DuPont (who make Kevlar) claim that Kevlar in soft body armor has a lifespan that is  "practically unlimited". "Ballistic decay without use is unlikely assuming it hasn't been mistreated during storage".

Kevlar only degrades by being subject to extreme temperatures and direct UV sunlight, which none of our vests have been, you'd have to strip the protective layer of the panel and leave it int he sahara desert for a few years.
